I think people are starting to realize that steem/steempower is a very good way to access passive income. There is also the Rumor that holder of steempower would probably get Airdrops of the new SMT Tokens...have you heared of it??? And for haven sakes steemit is still the only platform I use in the whole crypto sphere...hold on and Binance Coin as well ;-)
