Creating the Steem Marines' Insignia and Logo

Welcome back to probably one of the coolest things that's going to be happening on steemit.

Now, If you guys are new here, I'll go ahead and give you a TLDR on what the Steem Marine content is. Basically, it's all about bringing Steem to warhammer40k.

Lore, Army, Units and Characters will influenced by supporters and pledgees.

One of the advantages that I have in this project is my experience with design and print.

When making a custom army, things you have to account for is custom heraldry and motifs.

We're starting this off by creating our Imperium of Mankind forces. Which means we're going to be starting by collecting Space Marines, Astra Militarum and any other human forces. I'll get more in-depth with this in another post.

Behold Steem Marines, The symbol of our Faction!

This is a completely vectorized design. You actually won't find this design anywhere else, although obviously, it is based on the Palatine Aquila, which is extremely prominent in the lore of WH40k.

Still, it is my unique take on the symbol, and we have made it our own for the Steem Marines.

Most canon space marine chapters actually have variations and use the Palatine Aquila as heraldry for their chapters.

Here's another variation based on the Palatine Aquila that will be used for our models.

I will be working with @pbock to create some physical emblems based on the Steem Marines' logo.

@pbock creates all kinds of unique 3d printable objects, mostly to due with cryptocurrency, if you guys want to check him out, hit content is pretty sick.

We're definitely going to have to be getting our early supporters some emblems.

This is extremely awesome, as it is one of the 1st steps we have to take to make Heraldry for our Chapter of the Space Marines.

In the next post, we'll be talking more about the ranking sytem, lore, and what is actually required to get things started on the Space Marine production side.

One thing is for sure, I'm going to be coming up with really cool things for Early supporters for this content.
