I stick it out here on Steem because I enjoy interacting with all of the people from all over the world. I never had as many unique interactions that actually lead to real conversations, projects, etc on other platforms. Steem is just different. Something about all of it combined with the mystique of crypto in general makes for a roller coaster ride that I haven't decided to jump off of yet. It's been interesting to say the least!
Not mny projects surround Facebook or Instagram - here people actually get together and create stuff. It is pretty cool.
i had compared it with early days of internet when you had to have some knowledge and invest time to learn how to use it. so people using it were specific type of people.
There is a definite selection bias here which is why the churn is so high. Not everyone is ready for steem and crypto in its infancy
