How To Revoke Posting Authority & Change Master Key

There has been a secure breach somewhere of some kind and therefore the account @steemengineteam has posting authority control over approx 3k accounts.

I have my authorities very securely managed and am not affected.

In case you are affected, I suggest you to remove posting authorities of all apps, that you don't trust and use frequently! Also change your master key!
Even if u're not affected, I still suggest you to actively manage your posting authorities!

How To Revoke Posting Authority

Go to https://www.steemd.com/@yourusername

scroll down and look at your posting authorities, you wanna revoke every one you don't trust and use frequently
you do so by pasting every app's name you wanna revoke into this url:

https://v2.steemconnect.com/revoke/nameofapp

just change "nameofapp" in the url to the name of the app according to steemd
in my case it was https://v2.steemconnect.com/revoke/engrave.app (but this was not the security leak, just to show you)

How to Change Master Key

after revoking all unnecessary and dangerous posting authority access, you also wanna change all your keys, easiest way to do so is by changing your master key
