No fan of slavery

I’m no fan of slavery and still in a strange way we all still are slaves. It’s ridicioulus, but if you think about it we really are.
And even though slavery is a cruel crime, we wouldn’t stand here (or sit), if not because of slavery.

In Charlottesville they discussed to tear down the statue of the southern general Robert Lee. A brilliant General who fought on the wrong side, in a war. Sure he is a reminder of slavery he fought for slavery and if he had won, who knows where we would stand now, but he didn’t. But he is also a reminder of greatness of slavery itself and what Americans and the whole world accomplished in less time.

You have to understand that for the white people in America slavery is, like the Genocide in the Third Reich, in Germany. The feeling of guilt runs deep across whole generations and they alway be reminded about it.

And in a certain way they should, we all should never forget, but also we shouldn’t blame anymore.

For some time now there even is a fight about the name of the capital Washington.
George Washington, the founder oft he USA and the Phiadelphia Convention and... Slave Owner. In his Writings he rejected slavery, but had more than 300 slaves. Lot’s oft hem freed by himself, later took his name, so Washington is one of the most typical names by afro-americans. Denzel Washington is one famous example for it.

They even discuss the White House. Because it’s called the White House. Everything can be made a race-thing if you want to. „Why do you call this chocolate white chocolate? Are you racist?!?!“ „Ehm no... I call it that because it’s white...“ The White House is the White House because it’s white.
The Reason why, the White House is in such critic, is because oft he White Supremacy and because it was built of slaves. There were suggestions, the White House should be colorful and called the „Colorful House“. I don’t know... It reminds me of a sitcom.

Not all slaves where black, not all Slave Owners were white

The problem of this slavery thing ist hat we alway thing of white as slave owners and afro american as slaves.
Slavery in principle is shown as a purly racist thing, because of the superiority mania of people with white skin.
It’s a view of good/bad – black/white thinking radical ideologists.

Cause slavery is as old as human kind itself and so not even a little bit racist motivated.

Alexander the Great, Kings son oft he macedonian King Philipp II, had one of the best philosophist of all time as his teacher – Aristoteles. He described slaves as essential part oft he family and fundamental element of the state.
In good families you had slaves of the same country, or prisoners or people who got into slavery because of debt.
The Romans held slaves. Even Romans were slaves, if they couldn’t pay their debts. Then they worked til the debt was worked even.
Prisoners where sold as slaves or thieves and pirates attacked traveling tradesmen and sold them on the slave market, no matter what background they had.

Rome never would have risen this high, without slaves. They were gardners, shepherds, Security, cooks, Ammen, Cleaners and so on. Do we march to Trier and destroy the Porta Nigra because o fit? Do we destroy everything what is roman?No, because it is a part of our history. Society and Form of Government developed out o fit and changed. We can’t judge a time and there characteristics, good or bad from today.

Well qualified, efficient slaves where high respected people, they were respected for their opinion, well dressed, owned jewlery and fortune. You couldn’t even see the difference on the street, ifo ne was a free man or a slave. There is a old story:
In the Senat a senator wanted that all slaves wear a white ribbon around there arms. Another Senator said „No“, cause then they see how many they are and the would took the power over us!“
This means even slaves couldn’t see who was a slave and who was not.
Some slaves even got to fortune in slavery, bought there freedom and made a living as Roman citizen.

In medival most of the people where slaves! It was called serfdom.

So back to the roots. Even in America were slaves of diffrent backgrounds. Lots of freed african Slaves founded farms and yes hold slaves. There were native American slaves, african slaves and even white slaves in native American Tribes.
The Tribe oft he Cherokee had supposedly more african slaves then the White people. Slaves who tried to flee, were cut of their ears or scalps.

There were lost of white Slave traders and oriental slave traders. Lot’s of slave hunters were black people.

If a african Tribe defeat another tribe, they took their members as slaves and sold the rest on the coast as product.

Slavery was and is in lots of countries still a economic factor.
When you count in Employment Relationships, what is de facto slavery, we even have slavery today... or again today. With the only difference that today you aren’t provided with shelter, cloth, food or healthcare by your master.

So still slavery isn’t good, but slavery brought some things we even admire today. Pyramids for example. It’s a part of us. We shouldn’t deny it, we shouldn’t be proud of what happened in slavery itself, but maybe we should be proud what we accomplished with it, even if we were cruel.

I don’t think a slave which brought the last stone of a pyramid said „Wow what amzing thing we accomplished there.“ I’m pretty sure he never thought that we would be amazed by it. But we are now and we are amazed what this slave had done. Slave is a crime and still we are all slaves. We shoudn't make this a race thing, we shouldn't blame. We should accept go on with the things went wrong and the good things which came out of it.
