Some Miss the Point

Or half of it anyway.

There is an ongoing debate/discussion on steemit about the use of bots for upvoting. And both sides of the aisle have valid points and so the argument continues.

Well it really is only half the story... and maybe even less when you really analyze it.

Yes we are all here to get paid for sharing our content, sickened by the other platforms we and so many spent a part of their life on striving to develop the more crucial aspect rather than the end product of wealth accumulation. That is an audience, people who begin to enjoy your work and efforts as they begin to build a trust in you simultaneously.

I Hear You

With this trust and developing group, you must work to keep and enhance the ties, that takes not only reciprocation (ala a bot), but human interaction as well to say; "I Hear You". Without this, all the rest is hollow and will fall in on itself over time.

Don't worry about the Bots

Build your relationships with real people, jealousy or hate will not help anyone: https://steemit.com/life/@kyusho/lips-of-green

Oh and just hope people attach bots to you for upvotes automatically.

Problem is this: "hope you get bot upvotes". People should not need to rely on bots. They decrease the human interaction and turn this into profit hunting.

No of course not, you want real interaction... and even people become bots. So I pose this question for all:

If someone upvotes without reading the post, or for that matter not even opening it to look, is that too not a bot?

At this writing I have 20 votes and only 9 views... that is 11 bots.

That would be bot-like behaviour but even that is better than letting a computer script do it all for you unless that person is clicking these upvotes with eyes closed. :D

EDIT
Some bots pretend to be human by commenting on a post but when you look at their profile's comment section, you will see they make identical comments in all posts. :P

Well @artific, you have proven not to be a bot... my congratulations... and thanks for interacting. Followed

Greatly appreciated @kostaslou Followed

In my opinion we have different type of bots on Steemit:

  • automatic-bots (they don't blog, and for some reason, they had your name into their bot list)
  • human-bots (humans that usually blog want to read others content and upvote when it's ok, but they might upvote without reading only because they know content is good, they can program a bot for that kind of votes or even join a trail curation)
In the beginning, I didn't like the bot system, but I don't mind anymore.

Yeah you know I have been bloging since 1995, it was refreshing to actually get paid for it. So whatever comes in is graciously appreciated, be it bot, humabot or human.

It's all good and part of the seedling growth... thanks for being human @liliana.duarte.

Interesting points made

Thanks you @ianstrat, It is all about the people following and that you are following.

We can not be jealous, we can only keep pouring our hearts out and hope to connect with people.

Thank you for sharing your thought. You have a new follower, see you again :)

A big swath of Gratitude there @bontonstory. That is what we are here for... just followed you back and will head over now for a look see.

This is how is should go... glad to see you be human.

some bots could be nice but abusing them is too mutch! I'm a litle sick of so many comment's all equal all the same I"" I'm a bot or any way I same the same to everyone and upvote blah blah! and using it to pay content that it's free in the internet is also very stupid!
any way Maybe I find a way to use one wisely for a god propose!!
