Are the Early-Adopters Gone Yet?steemCreated with Sketch.

You Have to Empty the House, to Restart the Party!

I do not know about you lot, but I feel that there are a series of very surprising and awe-inspiring announcements being readied by STEEMIT Inc., ones that will cause a flood of new users to come in. The reason I believe we have heard very little from HQ over the past many weeks, is that our genius founding fathers see the obvious, the price of STEEM falling slowly, and the number and size of our disproportionately FAT users, is also declining .. the two things of course are related as the price drop is caused by rich Steemians powering down, and cashing out a substantial portion of their holdings.

This is a Good Thing!

Potential new users, who are also potential investors, would see a STEEMIT coming out of "Beta", our sails filled with the announcements I strongly believe are being authored at this very moment .. a relatively low and quickly rising STEEM price would be very attractive indeed. This certainty, undoubtedly informed by STEEM-related dreams that I have had periodically .. ;-) ... is also spurred by something I heard mentioned, perhaps in relation to a game project .. something to the effect of ..

..".. in order to have a successful release, we must disassociate ourselves from the early-adopters, and development stage fans, who are often the most critical if their desired features do not survive beta, or if they feel short-changed in any way; also they put a drag on support, because they believe that what they have to say should carry extra weight, given the amount of time they have put in .. blah blah ..

.. something like that! :-) But what am I really trying to say?

Don't get me wrong, a large percentage of early-adopters are a project's most effective and vigorous cheerleaders, who are really excited to share what they have discovered with the world, and believe that the more people who come the more enriched their own experience becomes, so and and so forth. But there is that percentage who think, we have something good going here .. we have power now, influence .. the gods listen to us .. keep out the unwashed! :-)

You have heard it many times before .. we are "In Beta".. what this means, again from my experience in game development communities (on both sides of the line), testers, or early-adopters, have the same rights as, and can only expect the same as, a Day Zero member, post release. If we have 60 000 users in today, with their various degrees of investment and various quality and quantity of content created, post-release we would hope for 10x, perhaps 100x as many sign-ups, and any good developer would like to have the current form of their product shine so brightly, the past can not be seen. Those who remember the past, may be looked upon as visionary, but the faster guns will be pouring in, the professional talents .. the only thing most of us will be able to sing about is our accumulated stake .. and there-in lies the rub.

Allowing the Playing Field to be Leveled ..

This brings us back to the relative silence of HQ, the total lack of hype by founders and developers .. but don't be fooled .. HQ is in-fact a Hypebomb Factory !! What we are experiencing right now is a strategic cool-down to avoid future meltdown. New uses want to come in thinking .. I'm going to run this town! They will think that until they run into a gaggle of whales. :-) We need there to be far fewer whales, so it does not matter at all if some have divided themselves up into a multi-headed gorgon .. or cerebus, or whatever the f ... this is a very good thing indeed.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Under-Construction HypeBomb!

From this point forward do 3 things, and you will be happy .. 1) in all things STEEM & STEEMIT-related, put yourself in the shoes of the incoming n00bie, part of the incoming n00bie horde. and 2) Add as much STEEM as possible to your position, while the price is low, and 3) Make this family appear to be One Big Confident Happy, to the outside world, and get ready to add hype to the hype explosion, when those HypeBombs go ..

BOOOOOOM!

Thanks for taking time to give me a read!
