What problems is the Steem blockchain solving?

One of the powerful solutions Steem has been solving throughout the years is a faster transaction time. Transacting with bitcoin takes 10+ minutes, while in Etherium it takes roughly around 2 minutes, while with Steem - it only takes 3 seconds to perform one! It will and will always be as fast as that.
Secondly, the transactions are - completely free. It doesn’t cost you to perform transactions like posting, commenting, upvoting, resteeming (share) on your favorite Dapps. Yes, Steem is a home of decentralized applications. Only vest Steem Power (which you can withdraw anytime within a 13–week period) and you’re good to go.
Third, with your vesting you’re allowed to receive a portion of incentives to the rewards pool daily. The more Steem your vest (Steempower), the more valuable your votes are. The reward pool is shared among users who received votes from users, the more. Hop in to Steemit (Steemit (https://www.steemit.com)) to witness incentivized social media. Share your thoughts and writings there with no censorship, keep in touch with people, and earn Steem in rewards!
Last but not the least, SMTs and Communities. Yes, they are coming! SMTs allow others to create their own tokens on top of the Steem blockchain. Think about ERC-20 and it almost functions the same. The good thing is, it only takes a couple of steps to set up one! The coming of Communities will also be exciting as groups and nations can be able to set up their own community with moderation. The team (Steemit Inc.) has been working very hard to finish these features and just a couple of blinks away now.
