You should have noticed by now that your idea of being smart is absolute wickedness, at least from where I stand. Maybe it’s my eyes that aren’t seeing well or my heart is just too big to accommodate your little ideas. Then again I might be wrong.

Now if you have noticed, it always seems like whenever one wants to lash out on steemit, he or she has a whale to blame for it.

These whales should be considerate….
These whales should grow a heart….
Why are they RIPPING OFF the entire reward pool…

The list is quite endless.

Now I get it when fellow whales call out themselves to correct something that doesn’t seem right in the steemit community, but when minnows try to attack the whales I get a tad concerned because most of them are plain ignorant to how they themselves are somewhat responsible for the lack of love and community mindedness, steemit came to preach.

My definition of who a minnow is quite simple and albeit self-explanatory.

A minnow is any steemian whose 100% PERCENT UPVOTE cannot make me $1.

Curation rewards and Trail wickedness

Every steemian who has been quite active in the last two months must have heard of @ginabot. A majority of us already use it and if you are anything like me, you will become stupendously addicted to it. So the ginabot helps us keep tabs on what happens on our steemit blogs without having to visit the site. Lovely right? Good!!! So imagine what happens when you come online to see 45 messages from Ginabot only to open it and find out that you just received 45 upvotes on one of your blog posts. First off, if you are new to the steemit community, you would do a dance and feel like your post just reached 45 people only for a friend to tell you that what you received were trail upvotes.

THIS IS THE PART THAT AMAZES ME….

When you then begin to carefully look at all the trail votes carefully, you find out that every single one of them voted and left you with $0.000. On further investigation, you find out that they all voted you with less than 5% of their very worthless upvotes. Now the reason many steemians join trails is to reap good curation rewards, but really who are you kidding.

LET US DO THE MATH

You have an SP which barely breathes, possibly less than 100 of over 200 but less than 400. This would mean that at best, your 100% percent upvote is not even up to $0.100, yet you seem to sleep happy at night knowing that all you do is increase the number of upvotes on a post without attaching any value whatsoever to the person’s work.

Would it hurt if you join trails at your best? Think about it, whether you vote the post or not you aren’t missed.

Now most of these big guys whose trails you join, have the community at heart with hopes that you would join their efforts to bring value to the community, yet greed finds a way to garrison your hearts.

The fact that steemit made it impossible for you to adjust your voting percentage when your SP is almost negligible is enough reason for you to understand that the community expects 100% from you at that stage. Now steemauto and its sisters have given you an avenue to earn good curation rewards while you sleep, yet you abuse whilst praying that a whale smiles down at you.

Imagine you got a notification from Ginabot that @stellabelle, @tarazkp or maybe @surpassinggoogle voted your post only for you to see that they all voted with 0.15%. How would you feel? I am pretty sure that your post the following day will be on the trending page, with you calling these guys all sorts of names not even found in the English dictionary.

I will advise that you review your trail vote percentages or simply get off the trail. I think I can live with having just one vote on a post from a steemian who valued my content enough to give me $0.01 at 100%, than for me to get 30 trail votes leaving me with $0.000.

YOU DO NOT REALLY NEED THE ENTIRE SP IN THE WORLD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, START FROM WHERE YOU ARE.
