The STEEM Networks FIRST Provably Fair Game of Chance is Under Development!

As some of you may already be aware on top of working on the steem.global STEEM faucet and the streemit.online project I've also started work on another first of it's kind..

A provably fair 1% Hi / Lo dice game featuring STEEM as well as SBD (Steem Backed Dollars) exclusively as play tokens featuring community investing in bankroll. This is a "next step".

The project has been dubbed Steem-Roller and started up on Steem-Roller.com

Steem-Roller.com Features Sneak Preview

(A screenshot of steem-roller.com and my @klye test account claiming imaginary STEEM on the faucet for testing purposes)

Harnessing the blazing fast block / transaction times offered by our STEEM network once launched near end of Q1 2017 steem-roller.com will offer next to instant deposits, withdrawals and incredibly fast rolls powered by a powerful Node.js provably fair dice engine. Ultimately this site will be a destination for both treasure thirsty thrill seekers and savvy smart money investors.

Implemented Features

Hotkeys for More Natural Rolling

While I myself no longer play games of chance I fully understand the need for hotkeys to aid in the play of any game. One of the first systems to get serious love was the hotkey system so I could test responsiveness of the site. Still a bit buggy and not entirely finished but functional.

Provably Fair Rolling System

Using a system nearly identical to world famous Primedice the Steem-Roller.com project generates rolls in such a way that neither the site operator nor player can cheat their rolls in any way. Using somewhat complicated cryptography to generate, hash and verify rolls makes for a fair gaming experience that is provable.

5 Minute STEEM Faucet

Who doesn't like a little bit of free STEEM to try their luck with? Once launched everyone will be welcome to make an account and come grab a small amount of STEEM every 5 minutes to test out the site or to go for gold!

Super Fast Auto-Roller

When your fingers get tired of mashing the hotkeys you can always set up the auto-roller function to keep you game going even when you're not at the keyboard or paying attention to the window. While still very much under construction the how is to allow automated betting with high customization. Currently the GUI is not a great representation of what is coming for the auto-roller bot.

Friendly Neighborhood Trollbox

No website dealing with STEEM and rolling would be complete without a basically un-moderated trollbox! Come speak your mind, cheer on your dice heroes and have a good time without fear of being kicked!

Features Being Worked on Now

Player and Site Stats GUI

A big part of any game of chance is keeping track of stats and displaying them for braggin' (or shame) rights. The goal eventually is to have massive wins actually posted to the blockchain for people to see. I'm thinking like $50,000 SBD+ bets here.. Whale bets.

Part of my Poll on this post: Would it be acceptable in your eyes for a game of chance site to post it's activities/advertise to the STEEMchain?

Community Bankroll and Investing

Coming to this part I have the need to ask the community... Should leveraging ones investment be allowed on site? In the past there has ben community funded bankroll games of chance allow investors up to x100 leverage on investments... What would an acceptable level of investor risk offered on the site via investment leveraging?

Integrating steemd / cli_wallet for Fast Transactions

Getting STEEM synced and ready to start trying to integrate a ultra fast deposit and withdrawal system for Steem-Roller.com. One goal is to have the fastest deposits and withdrawal times on the internet.. I think backed by the STEEM network may just be able to accomplish that!

Development Isn't Cheap!

Developing web apps/sites for STEEM is pretty damn time consuming! Believe it or not I've actually got one or two other projects outside of STEEM related stuff that need attention at times. Every upvote on my posts from people actually goes towards feeding, clothing and putting shelter over my head. As a network we've seen just recently witnessed some less than upstanding developer walk on the face of our small budding society and one promise I write here, now, on the blockchain is that any STEEM related project I set out to do will be completed regardless of if I have to ask for help from someone to teach me the skills.

Thank you to all who have supported me so far on STEEM, Your votes are powerful and can inspire people to create amazing things they otherwise may not have been able to muster the strength and courage to do so. STEEM on Everyone!

POLL For Those Who Skimmed Over The Questions:

  1. Would it be acceptable in your eyes for a game of chance website to post it's activities/advertise to the STEEMchain?
  2. Should leveraging ones investment be allowed on site?
  3. What would an acceptable level of investor risk offered on the site via investment leveraging?

Please answer in the comments below if you have time or thoughts on the matter. Thank you.

A very cool and valuable addition to the Steem development lineup. This will give people a fun way to use their SBD, and make money by investing in the bankroll. A few questions:
If a user deposits SBD into the bankroll, howwill they receive the interest paid by the steem blockchain if it is held in the SteemRoll account?
What incentives will be in place to encourage investors to use their funds for leveraged betting, will it be a fee paid by the roller to the leveraging user? How much would this be?
A good idea would be to make a daily post showing the highest amount won from a roll, to earn money for the SteemRoll account, and advertise it.
Great UI, considering the early stages of development. Consider me first in line to back the bankroll when you go live.

Well, the answer to that is somewhat complicated code I'm working on. Basically compare network state compared to bankroll size and then user % of bankroll. It's pretty darn Database / CPU intensive but working to get the system 110% before I go public with it.

No fee per a roll. The 1% house edge insures profits over time. Probably a weekly fee on investment earnings. If you don't make any money I don't think it's fair the site make any (investment side). Somewhere around 5%-10% of the earnings seems to be industry standard so will likely settle in there.

Thanks sir, Hoping to have it up and running as fast as I can while making it 100% bulletproof and secure.

This sounds pretty cool!

I can't wait until it's released. Heheh, gonna win some sweeeet profits.
If I'm lucky.

Best way to earn is long term with investing! :D

Great work klye. In answer to your questions and unless I'm missing something...yes, yes and not sure.

Thanks for the answers sir!

Great job. Questions: yes, yes, 20X to start.

Thanks for your answers sir

Hey @klye - can you please explain what leveraging of investment is?

Leveraging on an investment allows for you to claim a multiplier on your investment.

You have 1 STEEM. Invest it on 10x Leverage it acts as if it's invested as 10.. with 10x the risk.

If the 10 is lost, how does the system get the money?

The bankroll scales accordingly. You have greater risk of gaining or losing capital investment with leverage. As you win or lose on your investment your leverage changes.

Think of a system very similar to just-dice.com .. That site is a pretty good model of how investment will work on steem-roller.com :)
