My Thoughts on What STEEM Could Add (1000 Followers Special!)
If you are not following me then you are probably at WTF 1000? This guy has 69.
Well my main account is @kingscrown and i promised to myself it will never have other content that useful daily news/tips on cryptocurrency.
Yet up here on @kingsmind i post various stuff - food, travel, photos, ideas.. So the special goes here.
We celebrate my 1000 followers and me being here exactly a year.
Here are few features i think could be added and would make some nice addon.
Pay Per View
One of the issues BTC has is lack of subscription services possibility. I would love to make some posts closed on http://fuk.io or maybe even fully go into subscription mode, but nobody will waste time sending coins to read a post. On Steemit you can just click, and this way you tip the user. This is why CCs and Paypal are big online - subscription models.
But im speaking of model, where post is encrypted and until you click upvote, its mangled for you. After you click, somehow the key gets "full" and the account that upvoted can read.
Im not sure how much of this would be possible on blockchain or how much would be just centralized on Steemit.com and actually readavle on blockchain but for average user it would still be better to just click UP then go and look on steemd for stuff.
Control of Comments
When you make blog on blogspot or whatever - you can control who comments on your stuff, you can edit/delete. Up here you can just flag to sort things. I think to feel at home on your blog you should be able to have more control. I know this could be abused, so maybe just users of cetrain reputation could have the option and yes it could be just centralized for view on Steemit.com or Busy.org. Imagine some nasty spammer comes to your post and you cant do anything.
On all social sites you can just block the person from commenting on your creations.
Full Control of Keys
Currentyl if you want to change keys or passwords you need to run CLI. I thin kadvanced mode for advanced users would be good so we could easily switch and change keys when needed. Many users dont need this function but also many do, and i dont like it that for account changes i have to run CLI. I would like to change keys from the panel.
Affiliate Program
Actually it exists but somehow nobody knows the stats and theres still no plan of incentive. @ned holds the access to stats.
My idea is person would get lifetime share of SP of people under themselves but only if they have certain activity. So even if somebody made 10 accounts under himself [which of course people would do] they would need to actually write and be active on them.. So in the long run nobody would squat accounts for small % of referal fee and people would bring real users as that would be the only value.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts relating to the PPV: Now that the Steem videos are going to be out there, it would allow for the Steem Videos to get tokens! This would be a monumental game changer for the world of TV and, of course, YouTube! ;)

I think moderation of your post comments and eventually communities could be a powerful addition to the platform, however, there must be controls to prevent it becoming a medium of censorship.
this are base ideas, need tweaking but i wanted to share them. You can surely make your own post about what other person wrote, but on your own blog you could be able to control comments not only by using flags and upvotes but just by hiding stuff on Steemits frontend or so

No, because in my innocent mind I want to upvote things I like. I can not tell if I like something until I see it.
Control of Comments:
Feels pretty duh. OP starts discussion OP should be able to control the discussion. Anybody can start a conversation on his block and relate to an article (where he might be blocked). So you do not really censor people.

yeah, that would help get more people to steemit, 1% of lifetime earnings to inviter would not hurt anyone but be a great incentiv
PPV sure can be tricky BUT if somebody cheats on you once with PPV, then you wont upvote him again.
Lets say somebody makes a post 'FREE [whatever] wit hthis method'. If you like [whatever] and upvote and its really that - then you know you can trust the guy.
If not - skip it. Also i think only estavblished authors could have it.
There are blogs where you subscribe by paypal for "hidden" sections, this PPV would solve this in crypto scene.
I didnt come across any of those hidden section , yet. BUT Im really new. Paypal on steemit sounds really uncool, I have to admit.
I just feel like a few people "forgetting" to upvote is not as bad as having posts I have to upvote to read. Radical example would be a political discussion where somebody has an opinion that I absolutly not agree with and do not want to support. I stil want to know his arguments, so I can argue against him, but I dont want to pay him for that.

I completely agree with you about a refer link. I have many friends I want to join steem, but I don't want to tell them yet, because if If there is a refer reward, I won't get it. Please devs, make it happen!
