We know STEEM liquidity on Exchanges!

in #steem4 years ago

Coinmarketcap after loads of people doubting their exchange volume data added new metric - adjusted volume. But still, that wasn't enough for people who doubted most of the top10 volume exchanges that mostly come from Asia, nobody heard of them or not really anyone uses those.

They have added Liquidity option now, which is run on all pairs at random times to verify how much could have been sold or bought that day without fake buying and selling.

Of course this is not 100% accurate yet while checking exchanges they also check pairs when theres volume. And luckily we have some STEEM pairs showing real liquidity. The new liquidity metric looks for factors like distance from the middle price, crypto asset order book depth and others that they did not share to avoid making it easy to game.

Funny you still see HitBTC with their wallet closed for ages but they still make trades and put orders that look real it seems. Binance is king for STEEM and Bittrex for SBD obviously as the only good exchange that has it.

Spam and inflated volume is a big problem in the industry.

You should also check out our approach to that using liquidity (orderbook depth) and overall trust score https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/steem and let us know what you think about it

oh im aware of your site of course! thanks

Awesome! We hope you would give coingecko a try and use it in your analysis too!

Heyho :)
I don't think ur 0.35$ for SBD are right.. :D

There are huge discrepancy and volatility in the SBD markets right now, as you can see in the market page here at https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/steem-dollars#markets

To be honest, this is an edge case scenario, HitBTC's trading volume of SBD at $0.30+ matches the remaining exchanges which traded at $0.60+, and because of this SBD is both priced at $0.30+ and $0.60+ at the same time, since both are traded at that price in different markets. Our Trust Score algorithm ended up favoring HitBTC's data based on the metrics it has which is why we are showing $0.30+

How does it happen that there a 100% difference in price?
And why don't people trade that? They can really profit by finding a middle ground between 0,3 and 0,6
