The fact that Steem has no hard cap, makes it inflationary, so in order to overcome that the adoption has to keep up with inflation and that's how the prices can rise back to previous highs.
Yeah, absolutely, it's inflationary, but it is an algorithm based inflation/mathematical, and unbreakable, so manipulation can't be carried out. As long as the Steem Economy flourishes, it will EASILY outgrow inflation. :)
