Let’s Focus on the Future Instead of the Past
Driving doesn’t work unless you‘re focused on what’s ahead of you.
Looking into the rear view mirror can only occur for so long before you need to look through the windshield again.
It’s the same with any level of success one desires.
Success in anything requires a gaze that is forward-focused. If you look behind you too long, you will crash like you would in a car.
If you are always looking in the rear-view mirror at your past, nothing is ever going to change.
If you want different results than you’ve been getting, you need to start looking forward instead of looking backwards.
You need to start changing lanes instead of changing the track on your MP3 player. You need to start accelerating instead of hitting the brakes.
Of course, when I say “you”, I mean us as a collective community.
If we want this blockchain to flourish, which we do, then we need to stop looking at the shortcomings of Steemit Inc and focus ahead on what we can do to help correct the matter.
We need to remain excited about what is to come, even if SMTs are being pushed back to a later date.
Yes, being practical has its place, but let’s work together to keep the dream alive with insane optimism.
What does that look like? In a word...engage. We need to be engaged here and also outside of Steem.
Action breeds strength and confidence. Lack of action breeds complacency and doubt.
All of us here still believe in the power of this community and the blockchain. I personally believe that even though Steemit Inc is struggling it will make them stronger in the end.
Adversity brings a refining process along with it that when survived, churns out a whole new person. A whole new organization that can’t be stopped.
If you ask me, we are just getting warmed up.
Keep the faith my friend and remain focused on the future. When you do, you’ll feel a whole lot better which will then lead to positive outcomes in your life and in others’.
Love ya 😉

Sometimes I have heard someone say they are being 'practical' when they are really being pessimistic, so I don't think the word 'practical' is always used correctly.
In addition to that, I think you'll agree with me @kenmelendez that faith can be used as a tool to get our deepest desires.
In that sense it is entirely practical, and gets results!
