Steem - How economic inequality harms societies

in #steem8 years ago

Can Steem over time create an ideal environment that contribute to reduce economic inequality. The vision therefore must be for Steem to be at the forefront of a fair financial system that does not discriminate, this being created through its automated blockchain, where everyone within are reward to the proportion of contribution they provided.

Here a bit on economic Inequality by Richard Wilkinson

We feel instinctively that societies with huge income gaps are somehow going wrong. Richard Wilkinson charts the hard data on economic inequality, and shows what gets worse when rich and poor are too far apart: real effects on health, lifespan, even such basic values as trust.

Today the Steemit platform is one of social interaction, but the future of Steem contributing to the world monetary system, blockchain contributing to fairness must be a vision of possibility that can taken forwards in the coming years.

Untapped wealth exists and Steem reveals some of that wealth. Economic equality might not be logically possible without straight up communism. What you might really mean to say is economic justice or economic fairness or fair trade, which is distinct from "equality".

Economic equality = communism. In communism all are pretty much equal economically.
