UNDERSTANDING STEEMIT (BABY STEP)

Steemit is a one thing that i have not yet fully understood,but so far there are things that right now are coming to light
the little that i have gathered in that one day that i have made myself familiar with the steemit platform,i have know that whatever that is done on the platform is measures according to the steem value that you have gathered on you account
the steem value will depend on how much that you post.
I have been on this platform for around a month now and i think that my accounts worth has just reached 5usd (feeling very proud) according to the activities i have seen on the platform the more that you post the more you are value goes up .....
am not used to this because i have a Forex trading background and i have come to know that some forum where one gets around 0.05 to 0.2 usd bonus for posing on the trading forum,
please keep in mind that the total sum from this forex forums is not money that you can withdraw and use its just bonus that you can trade from which you can withdraw if you happen to get any......before you think that there is a very big opportunity form the forum , there is a limit that you as a trader you can not go beyond (250 usd bonus per month)
as i was going through my steem account i have noticed that the market is open on a Saturday!!! ok that's new to me because am used to market closing on weekends
