Its not to only Drive up the value of every resteem only. It is there to not spam the followers so they can have a good Feed still. I know that it's drag. But it's necessary. You should still be able to have a normal feed after joining :D. Slow but effective and most people already do the same with facebook. More targeted audience etc ( I mean the ads )
