RE: The crypto currency space in short-, middle- and longterm?

in #steem6 years ago

Steem has really been on the decline relative to other cryptos. Seems like just yesterday we were #25 by market cap. This community would honestly be better off without the monetary aspect. Let's face it, 99% of us care about making money WAY more than the actual community.

I think we should just get rid of bid bots completely

Says the anonymous account... anonymity on Steemit is worse then bots, in my view!

Anonymity isn't the problem; but, a lack of accountability for whose conducting monetary transactions in the community is. I'm reminded of @bellyrub as an example. He raked in millions and to this day no one seems to know who 'he' is. Quite clearly, after the dust settled he picked up operating under a different anonymity, continuing to rake it in...jmho.

At some point, I expect federal regulations will be implemented for people DBA anonymous players.

But realistically, crypto seems to be cryptic for a reason; which explains, more than bots, why mogul investors are leery about investing.

Best regards.

Peace.

What does anonymous have to do with anything? Would you like to be the all-knowing governmental overlords with peering green eyes?

You can't really claim that anonymity is bad in the crypto space. It's the one thing that draws many people to it.

Even anonymity has a thumbprint. I'm reminded that there are people brazen enough to put their cameo and real name on their blog; in spite of known reputations as scammers...jmho.

So, I am further reminded that anonymity, in and of itself, is not the problem. For most, it is more so a brand or matter of social convenience.

From my observation, crypto is currently treated as an in-house affair. And, as long as people raking it in, even the unscrupulous, pay their taxes on financial gains the Feds are on standby. I expect that the more they become involved in this currency, the tighter regulations will become.

Peace.

im not gonna lie, but it is kinda true

However, with another crypto bull run, we could def see the community grow again like we saw last year.

The biggest disappointment is that most people are anonymous on Steemit and that they don't really support a free society with full identity.

I'd agree with you there.

I use a pseudonym, and there weren't any names left to use.

You're producing content for the arts and entertainment industry, and you're saying the reason why the arts and entertainment industry failed is because people didn't use their real names.

That's absurd. Do you expect me to believe you're being yourself and you always wear sunglasses inside of the fucking house? Come on man. That's your public figure persona right there. Embrace it.

That's the reality and it is, somehow, disappointing.

ok man I agrre with you
