This is a really good question! For Bitcoin there are many usefull information about the history etc. in the web. For other coins you have to make specific research for that coin. I don´t know a universal site where you find everything. On coinmarketcap.com you can see the price and market capitalization history of all listed coins. If anybody knows a site like a "Coin Wikipedia" with every information about all coins, please post the link! :)
coinmarketcap.com is a fabulous resource. Go spend some time there....
