where is SBD

I have seen a news where it said We will have steem fork which will make steem better. Is this the reason we are not getting SBD. SBD was important part of Steemit. SBD was supposed to have 1$ but it went above 10$ which is not bad as it will attract many people.

However what worries me that We have seen less than 1$ and if price goes below people will lost interest. but if we can keep it 1$ stable like usdt it would not be bad.

Is this the thing that the team are trying to do. I am confused.
