RE: Shall we talk about bots and good content?
I am very new to steemit so correct me if I'm wrong... I thought the point of steemit was to provide quality content and gain views through respect and the value you add. I had no idea this platform was a 'bought and paid for popularity contest'.
It is really a shame that people are bringing their Twitter and Facebook mentalities over to this platform. We have, or had, the ability to use this platform for something new and different - a value based community founded on integrity, rather than how many followers you can get to vote for posts they haven't even looked at.
Anyone into investing or trying to turn a profit should be familiar with basic math. As this is a value based platform, profiting from not adding value will eventually deplete steemit to the point where steem is worth nothing and nobody uses this platform for anything aside from advertising and stupid posts that everyone who follows each other will reciprocally up-vote so they can all feel popular and validated.
