Luckily it's no big deal to bypass any "scan documents" verification (just some photoshop skills ;). Only live chat is the problem...

I personally don't have an issue with KYC, but many people still feel uncomfortable with it.
I guess it's all a transitional phase as crypto becomes accepted in mainstream life.
