The shame of some Nigerian teachers.

in #steem7 years ago

It's a shame. A big shame not just see these people who are not qualified to be called teachers protest but have Nigerians who claim to be educated support them.
These are very simple questions for a teacher. It's not just that they can't read, they can't even write! Now they agree exam is not the true test of knowledge but they must have cursed and beaten kids who failed assignments. TheSe unqualified teachers are the ones who draw coconut head, add eyes, nose and ears on a child's booklet instead of correcting the child. Well, they don't even know. It's been made obvious.
These teachers passed through tertiary education and came out with nothing because religious and tribal sentiments played a key role to their 'sham successs'.
The truth is, tertiary education is not for everyone that is why basic education which is the foundation should equip an individual from a young age with the knowledge, skills and self reliance needed. This will help develop their talent so that even without tertiary education, they can be creative and be able to do something for themselves.
Do you think these teachers have helped the children who passed through them through the years?
Training these teachers is waste of time and money. At what age? when there are young people who can be trained and equipped with the 21st century curriculum. They should hide their face in shame and retire to their farms. Education sector is not a dumping ground.
