[STEEMIT] THE ERA OF "KNOWLEDGE WORKER"

Peter F. Drucker(the great management guru) said dozens of years ago that we are living in the knowledge era.

Permit me to quote him, "The time is coming when men won't need a formal education to solve their problems, all they'll do is get their problems solved informally by seeking informal education." I'm glad to let you know that this is the time, it's called the era of the "knowledge worker".

Now is the time to out grow the practice of going by the book for going by knowledge. I have seen university professors on several occasions consulting Sales Funnels designed by online marketers who do not have the kind of parallel degrees like the profs. So many businesses are now engaging online marketers to manage their online presence and to drive consistent conversions. These are the knowledge workers.

The generation we've found ourselves today can't thrive without knowledge gained outside the four walls of the university. The technologies in vogue now are way beyond the comprehension of the so called learned fellows as this knowledge goes beyond the principle. 

We can't build with ignorance, we can't move forward with empty brain, to try to do that will be suicidal! Alvin Toffler, the futurist that wrote the book 'The Third Wave' said "The illiterate of the 21st Century is not the man that cannot read and write, but the illiterate of the 21st Century is the man who refuses to learn, unlearn and relearn."

Some have argued that the cost of getting knowledge is high, arguably true but then how cheap is ignorance? The burden of ignorance far outweighs that of knowledge. 

Jim Rohn the foremost 21st Century business philosopher said, "we must never be afraid of emptying our pockets into our brains".

Mike Murdock said, "The reason some people's stomach is more obvious than their brain depends on what they invest in it". 

Knowledge will definitely cost you something but the reward far outweighs the cost. Don't be scared of buying books, the same way you go for shopping for other things, shop for the development of you mind, as that is the only and surest way from where you are now to where you want to be.
