You are very right Steem has seen some stability and rise amid the Bitcoin's unprecedented leaps in December. One of the main reasons why Ethereum went from under $10 to over $700 in one year was its ability to hold ICOs, create ERC20 compliant tokens and create new applications on the Ethereum blockchain!
