Steem Mining dominated by 2 users now - crushing the little guys :(
I've seen mining go from 4 a day around when the hard fork happened on August 15th to dry up to 1 block in the last 5 days. It's not worth the costs to keep it running. I'd like to support the system but the rewards needs to be there.
I saw this article https://steemit.com/stats/@arcange/the-end-of-steem-cpu-mining-update the shows that everyone else is pretty much being pushed out of mining by two users with multiple accounts.
It starts with @rabbit-01, @rabbit-02, @rabbit-03... all the way up to @rabbit-79 - This one user is controlling 67% of all mining currently.
The next one actually has more account and it starts at gxt-1080-sc-0001 and goes up to gxt-1080-sc-0150
I'm not sure if this whales building server farms or outside guys coming in. But it just seems counter productive to building a community where those that participate are rewarded over just being crushed by basically a large corporate entity squashing all the little guys.
I understand competition but this is just a take over. I mean if this is what the Steem community wants then it's pretty sad in my opinion.

Yeah, it's a form of botnet. Users have confirmed that these 2 guys have found a way to gpu mine which isn't a published form of mining which is some sketchy to me. Also I don't how they can afford to do this type of mining. I know some gpu mine owners that need to have a portion of the mining coming out to pay the running costs because these machines aren't cheap to run.
I personally wish they would not allow this multiple account blatant take over from the vast community of member-based mining structure which is way more stable than relying on a few bit miners that could go at anytime they wish.
@dantheman added a comment on this post so it appears that these guys are just taking over the mining and it only took them a few days. In a week they will probably have pushed out most of us that can afford to keep up.

Kind of thought it was more about contribution across the board to make a wide base of miners but it seems they are cool with throwing the majority of the eggs in a few baskets.
