It's something to consider. At first it's going to be straight out payment. But if there's a way to work an upvote service into it, that could be something to explore. A lot of the bigger apps seem to have either a powered up bot to support the project's supporters, and/or a curation trail that supports supporters. Whenever I make a post over at chainbb I get like 70 upvotes (but unfortunately only for a few cents... ;) ).
