I'm new here, launched Sep 5 so I really shouldn't comment; however, from what I can see, the hardfork broke habits. writers get into "the zone" so when you slam the door shut to their canvas, they'll go elsewhere to paint. they have to, as they want to stay in "the zone". consider having available a mirror site, where they can keep writing copy. once the hardfork is over, find a way to merge their work into the update Steem. I was a data entry officer for the New Zealand Census 2013. we had slow processing times so I suggested that someone outside Statistics New Zealand was accessing the data in real time. yep, so we found out later. solution I proposed and adopted (and taken up for all similar governmental projects): outsiders accessed the previously saved data while we kept inputting new data into that day's file. perhaps such a solution could work here on Steem?
Thanks a lot for your comment. I believe that on steem a lot of people write for financial reasons. With newsteem and the end of bidbots and also with decreasing prices, the incentives to write posts are simply less interesting than before.
forced writing, just doesn't work! one reason I did my paint with words blog. trying to get writers to be creative, to be 3 or 4 dimensional. if writers are using Steem just to create wealth, they're not welcome. all we end up with are people who write copy. just so bland and fourth estate. so, how do we reward creativity? I mean, perhaps we need a different measure for truly creative talent? then we can let brand recognition draw in the masses, perhaps being a global gallery of fine art? just a different way of using Steem to encourage creative thinking and get recognised internationally as the leading authoritarian crypto site.
