It's hard to say for how long these prices will hold. Cryptos tend to crash quite violently as well. To say the least, the increase in steem prices is quite astonishing to watch. I unfortunately sold all of mine at 90 cents.
Bought at 60c and again at 240c . I honestly believe that the growth will continue as Steem keep growing in this early phase.
The problem here is, I don't believe there is any whales holding enough Steem that could dump the market (even if they wanted too). Too much is held in Vesting Steem Power (98%). You can't dump a market with less than 2%. I think we could see sideways/retracement, but it won't be anymore violent than on the way up, and a natural floor will be found in the market..
