Now that you know the good new, please allow me a small rant - Yesterday after INS seemingly took the lead from us, I read a post lamenting the fact the at h Steem community didn't do enough. This person said that we have once again failed and it was only to be expected, given our past performance. I sincerely hope that this guy experiences at least some semblance of embarrassment over his misjudgement.
It seems like a patter on here on Steemit. People like to criticize the very platform that pays them to speak their mind. I don't really mind criticism, unless it is undeserved or destructive. We may not be the best community out there, but e sure have the potential to be one....... let's take it from there and move onward.

Many were disappointed about the numbers driving the voting for Steem instead of focusing on how the community that did vote came together to makenit a reality. We will always have criticism on an ecosystem that is still in development and growing. The focus should remain on the positive factors that are clearly here as communities come together to create great things. I am hoping that Steemfest will help demonstrate this from a visual perspective for those of us unable to go!
Even during the voting process you could feel that Steem was the only coin with a steady pace of growth in votes. Both Verge and INS grew with pumps - particularly in the last thirty six hours or so. The pump seemed suspicious even when it happened and I really appreciate Netcoins's efforts to remove the fake votes and give communities a fair shot at the contest.
I feel really proud of the guys and girls of Steem, giving it their all and making this happen..... another step closer to mass adoption.
Congratulations! Our hard work paid off.
