RE: Warning to vote buyer/sellers! - Introducing GrumpyCompliance, mandatory in 14 days. (No more post-promotion allowed past 3.5 days)
What can my initiative do to help new arrivals on the platform stay clear of being flagged? For a new user who innocently used a bot not fully understanding the new rules and guidelines a flag could be devastating to their morale
First offender usually get a small flag just so they get the memo. Next time the flag might take any of their posts to zero.
You have nothing to worry about if your bot is not for profit.
Advice: There is no need to support new users with free upvotes. It's most likely to end up badly in the long term.
Thank you for your reply and I will be mindful and spread awareness with those we help out as well. In regards to free up votes, we don't just wing them to anyone. The content has to be honestly produced. I.e. No begging posts. I know there is a fine line between support and welfare on the platform so we try to be mindful there so we can better help others grow. If we set up a voting bot it would be focused on users we vetted and saw genuinely trying rather than just anyone. We would support them for a period then move to the next group. A lot of work our end but every little helps I suppose. Thanks again for the response and feed back and will begin to keep an eye out. Also relieved in regards to being worry free on the bot vote if it's non profit.
