The new update (Rate Limiting Posting via Posting Power #176) was designed to reduce the number of spam posts and the effects are already starting to be visible. Steemle.com charts show that post per day have started to drop over the past two days.

Prior to the update, many quality posts may have been buried very quickly due to the volume of submissions and the inability of curators to effectively screen for quality.

However, despite the drop in the amount of posts, the upward trend in votes and replies has not been dented.

Update Result = less bullshit spam posts!!
