Imagine if Satoshi Nokomoto was a company. People wouldn't be too happy to pump bitcoin in the bear market. Same situation here. @melbookermusic proposed the question, Would Steem be better off without Steemit? If you would have asked me 48 hours ago i would have said no. After seeing how steemit inc lied about censorship. I'd say absolutely. Lieing to the people supporting you isn't very smart. DTube doesn't need Steemit for anything. Our Dapp (not fully a dapp as it's still HTTP) is prepared to run off their own RPCs.

Until the community continues development on the blockchain core code, we still need Steemit, Inc.
Did they lie? I don't know. Maybe they will publish a statement.
