The Value of Tokens - How they Power different Blockchain Techonology Platforms
I hope you enjoy this research about tokens and their value. I have also included several recommendations from wise persons that help me learn more about crypto every day.
In this new era of Blockchain technology there is a new concept that emerged: tokens, coins, cryptos, or tokenization. Tokenization is a very important and attached part of the Blockchain technology. It serves the purpose of each platform identification and accessibility.
POWER OF TOKENS
Every platform developed with blockchain is powered by tokens in a way or another, many times referred to as “coins”. Many people just say: "Bitcoin" when they here somebody talking about crypto.
Bitcoin is the most valuable token ever created in the Blockchain. Also there is Litecoin, STEEM, Monero, Dash, and other currencies that work on a Blockchain. Tokens represent money and they also represent other assets, items.
I recommend you to follow @cryptographic , in case you want to know predictions and how the Bitcoin market is doing. He posts in trading, and he is passionate of it.
What highly determines the value and many times the market price of a cryptocurrency is its demand. This is the reason why different altcoins have different costs and values on the Blockchain context. For example, Bitcoin is more readily accepted by merchants than Ripple, and this is one of the reasons it is more valuable.
SAMPLES OF HOW DIFFERENT PLATFORMS GIVE MEANING TO THEIR CRYPTOCURRENCY
STEEM AND STEEMIT
Let's mention the value of the STEEM Token on STEEMIT, which is the preferred crypto for most of STEMIANS. Steemit is a blockchain social network, (that in comparison to Facebook that rewards its owners and stakeholders) it rewards the best persons that post the best quality content on the network. It rewards when people Upvote on a post, it rewards when people Upvote a comment somebody has made, and it has other ways to get rewards with curation (that is Upvoting posts that have quality content and that later convert into a trendy post).
To learn more about STEEMIT you can check for the STEEMIT University posts from @jerrybanfield. He has made thousands of hours of videos with all the explanations about STEEMIT and how to earn on STEEMIT.
For motivational and learning posts about STEEMIT, business and life, I recommend you to follow @bigsilver . He is a business entrepreneur and writer.
I recommend to Follow @d-pend , if you want to learn about STEEM and STEEMIT and crypto with a bit of culture.
ETHEREUM
Ethereum came to the crypto world not so long ago, maybe 2 years? Despite it was developed after many other alternative coins, it is the 2nd most valuable cryptocurrency in marketcap in existence only after the current king Bitcoin.
Its value is highly determined by the demand for its platform by the distributed application (dApp) developers. Many of the developers create tokens that will grant access to their services, essentially building their own Blockchains by using the Ethereum’s platform.
In an effort to raise funds, developers pre-sell their tokens (crypto) as part of an ICO (initial coin offering), and they accept Ethereum’s token “ether” as a means of payment on the offering, and finally when the ICO finalized, it contributor received the promised amount of the new crypto generated.
DASH
Dash means “Digital Cash,” and it was born as a fork of Bitcoin, with its code changes adapted more for privacy and faster transactions. This blockchain platform’s token is called DASH. Dash gets its funds through its own Blockchain. A part of mining rewards help with funds for the currency’s development, and also features a working governance model.
Check what @g-dubs mentioned about other private cryptocurrencies like DASH:
He wrote a great research about PIVX: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/privacy-cryptocurrencies-checking-out-pivx-pivx , and Monero (XMR): https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@g-dubs/privacy-cryptocurrencies-checking-out-monero-xmr
SECURITY FOR OUR CRYPTO ASSETS
Let's not forget about the importance of security in addition to our wise investments on cryptocurrency. Like @bitcoinparadise mentions in this latest post of changing passwords to raise security: https://steemit.com/security/@bitcoinparadise/changing-password-regularly-and-made-multiple-backups

Here are more STEEMIT PERSONS that are devoted to help the STEEMIT Community to grow.
They have helped me understand blockchain, STEEMIT and the crypto world much better than my previous thoughts. Also learn how goverrnments, banks, media always try to manupilate the normal curse of things.

An excellent post. You explained some of the basic of crypto and blockchain for people.
This is the future...there is no doubt in my mind. Which coins will survive can be debated but I dont think the blockchain nor cryptos can. The bankers wouldnt attack so hard if it wasnt a threat to them.
@taskmaster4450 I totally agree with you. Cryptos are more than a threat for governments and bankers. What is unique about this threat is that it was created by people (developers of blockchain), and that they did not even have to ask them about doing this. The very first developers of blockchain technology were more than developers, they were really wise people that knew they had all the power in their hands to disrupt the current stablishment, which is not good for most of the world. Their decisions from centuries ago seem not to find a solution for the needs of society. FREEDOM and wealth is redistributing and coming to many more people. Thanks for the Upvote. Just upvoted your comment. @gold84
Wow! Being mentioned alongside the likes of people like @jerrybanfield is flattering and humbling at the same time. What can I say? Thanks! But be sure to note that predictions I do not make. 😉 I follow price action, talk about possibilities (sometimes they work out well, sometimes they don’t), and risk management – risk/reward, appropriate position sizing, balanced/diversified portfolio, etc.
Nice introduction that got me looking at your past posts. Looks like you’re on the right track!
Also taking your advice and following everyone (that I wasn’t already) on your shout out. Good job, and thanks again.
Thanks to you @cryptographic . I am really glad this post is helpful, and that we share same ideas about crypto. Looking forward to learn more from your posts. Just upvoted your comment. @gold84
