The overall trend still heads down-ward as each subsequent attempt at breaking out has reached a lesser high. Looks like a desperate attempt to stay afloat in traditional stocks from shorts covering...
But, if my crypto-trading intuition is correct,
Upward Needles is a buy signal!!
A Steem price correction is definitely over-due!

I am so excited now! It's been few months that I feel sad because steem price had been so low...Now I feel very positive that it will hit $2 and up. hooray!!!

I agree that a correction is severely overdue. I guess when it will happen it will happen fast and people will be amazed and also disappointed if they missed the train
After missing last winters train... another opportunity was unexpected. Bitcoins non-stop rally is messing everything up, but I think Steem prices have hit or at least near it's low. 20+k, $2 steem seems reasonable. Thanks for dropping in!

I agree with you....there is a lot of pent up momentum. When something that channeled as long as STEEM has breaks out, it does so with power.
We are starting to see enough activity on this blockchain to warrant a move. Development always precedes the price action which attracts more speculators who ultimately lure in more developers.
We are starting to see some major breakthroughs on this blockchain. Some of the actions are going to bring in millions of users onto steem. I am really excited for SMTs to start creating some tokens.
2018 will be huge for STEEM.
I am excited over those SMT's also... Who knows what type of platform could spring out and become mainstream popular. Providing value to the Steem Blockchain isn't going to rely so heavily on "Steemit".
Could be very interesting next year.
I think 2018 will make many people rich, mainly the early adopters here that have saved there Steem tokens!

I don't know if I would say anything is overdue in the crypto markets. Things move so fast on a day to day basis that we lose track of just how volatile coins are. As more and more users come to the platform and more and more user cases are made for steem, the price will inevitbably go up. We, the users need to be more active in finding and promoting more use cases for steem. This is the best way to make sure steem does go up in price in the future
Very true.
Still, this downtrend has been long lasting. With all the potential Steem offers, I believe it has been oversold for some time now and the marketcap surely warrants higher prices.

Looks like someone is playing a smart strategy here trying to make a breakout. There are a lot of indecisions and all of the sudden it spikes up buying like crazy and then it is being short out. Seem like someone is trying to play with emotion. lol. :)
We can only hope it does! Payouts get bigger as Steem price goes up!
