What Did I Do While Steem Was Down?

Well that whas a bummer Steemit or Steem or whatever was down for what seemed like a long time which sucked, I tried the twitter link that was on top of the Steemit page but there was actually nothing that informed us of what was happening, just one saying there is a problem and then another saying it was working but was still not working, kind of funny.

So from this blackout what I learned is not to expect any communications from the Steem team when something goes wrong, you just have to hope for the best. And still no information is coming so we have no idea if this could happen again.

Anyway as I wasn't on Steemit I looked for alternatives and I did spend some time on Uptrennd, it is a nice platform with of course a few drawbacks like for now you can only post Crypto related articles, one difference is that there are no whale votes, you just get more the higher the level you achieve, this could be perceived as good or bad, personally I like it.

Well I did look at a lot of other websites but eventually not being sleepy I resorted to Splinterlands as I read on the updates Twitter comments that it was working. I quit Splinterlands a long time ago as I got bored with it and without investing much more than I already had I figured I would just stagnate. But I went to the site and it turns out I still have some cards and was able to complete to quests, it did take me a long time but I completed both and got two cards as rewards, I started from zero.

So I might continue playing Splinterlands, but now I am also playing Gods Unchanged, but I suck at both I have no idea what to play and I just go along for the ride, I am probably too old for these kinds of games and my brain just can't wrap around how to use them.

So anyway I hope that Steem's code issues have been solved and no future problems are found, well at least problems that cause downtime, because these things are liable to make people leave, doesn't help attract investment and Steem already has enough problems without adding that to the list.

I am also probably too old for those type of games - I am 34 years old and do not enjoy those kind of things anymore.

I used to enjoy it a lot though 😊

No you are all right, I though am 58 this month so I think the too old is well applied in my case.

A good amount of people in my age bracket enjoy video games, but I personally don't. I like writing, reading, and community building on #Steem instead 😊
