Steem Price Up
Well Steem's price sure spiraled upwards after @ned announced the new Smart Media Tokens, it went to over $1.60 and is now hovering close to $1.50. I have always thought that the heads of Steemit had apparently left the scene and left Steemit on it's own and this was one of the reasons for the fall in value of Steem.
And I was right just as soon as people saw that the devs were once again working on the project and coming up with something totally new everything started looking better, and there you have it, Steem at a nice price once again.
As for the Smart Media Tokens (SMT), I really don't know much about it, I am just now reading the white paper and what I have read so far looks good, it's about monetizing content which is what Steemit has been doing all along but now with the idea of going all out with the public. You can create your own tokens and use them to deliver your products to other users, you can sell them etc.
I personally think it is a good idea and expect Steemit to be better off because of it, remember these tokens will be on the Steem blockchain, anyway this is the first weekend were we have had Steem at a relatively decent price since over a month so I guess we are OK.
Just wanted to add that it was at around $1.20 before the announcement to give your figures some scale :)
Actually for a while one day it went below one dollar.
I think SMTs are really good idea, but alone in Steem i have faith. I still believe STEEM is undervalued and when more ppl realize that this is working, it will blow up and STEEM will go around 10$.
