Steemit Today

So Steem is at a really low price and it could probably go down further, for this month I don't expect to see any shimmering light behind the dark clouds. I don't see any upside to the low prices, just getting very little for my posts.

And there lies the problem, you see everyone who is on Steemit was lured here by the idea of getting paid for producing content, OK a lot of people say they stay because of the community or the apps or some other stuff, but at first all came for the money. And money is the one thing very few people are getting right now, at least not in significant amounts.

With Steem prices so low even dolphin votes don't make that much of a difference, I feel comfortable when a post of mine gets $1.00 and I know most of that dollar comes from bot votes. So that just makes the idea of quality getting the best rewards a false precept, quality doesn't count for much on Steemit and bots certainly don't care what they vote for.

So to make some money here you have to either get on bot lists (and by these bots I mean bots like Steemauto or Steemvoter, I am not talking about bid bots) or get votes form whales, this is if you haven't put any money into Steem. Also you won't be getting many votes, regardless of value if you don't interact, I right now am facing this problem, very few people comment on my posts and normally I would vote for the comment but right now with my vote hardly worth more than 1 cent I know voting for a comment is just throwing away the vote because it will become dust.

The other way is to invest money on Steemit and get to a good level of SP, higher voting power just makes it that much logical that the people you voted for will return the vote, and also Steem could rebound and you could make a pile of money on your investment. So like in all human endeavours money talks on Steemit.

These are some of my points of view, whether they are good or bad, quality or not makes no difference because actually I know very few people will read this post, mostly people read and interact with the big guys so I think I can get away with anything I write.
