What makes Steem/Steemit extraordinary

With all of the drama that happened in recent months, it’s easy to get disappointed and thought of leaving Steem or any of its Dapps. Personally, I don’t think of it as a smart choice. It’s easy to get entangled with the issues that the dispute in governance has brought to the platform. Let’s stay objective and don’t let our emotions get into our decision making.

Selling point of Steemit

Before the emergence of Steemit's competitors, the unique quality of this social media platform is its "decentralized" nature and the content creator will be able to "monetized" their contents. We have complete ownership of our content.

Steemit completely revolutionized conventional social media through its advancement to blockchain technology. I'm personally been astounded by the idea of "freedom of speech" and "anonymity" in the Steemit platform. Everyone can express their thoughts to everyone.

Having this kind of freedom in our hands could get easily be abused by somebody else who doesn't even care about this platform. Surprisingly, even though they’re so much negativity in this world, it seems that the majority of the "optimistic" individuals out there have gathered in this platform and add share valuable thoughts to the community.

It’s not perfect, yet

Although I'm aware of the flaws of this platform, I would say it's so much better than any other platform out there; even compared to its competitors. The best thing about this community is the motivation of each individual to improve the platform. The Steemit Team is also stepping-up with their 100 Days of Steem initiative to improve the User retention in the Steem platform.

With all of the events happening in the Steem blockchain, I’m excited to see what the future holds for the community.
