Well it looks like it does have some effect on the value of steem today! While holding pretty great compared to BTC and ETH in the last days, we are now going in the opposite direction.
Most Steem will be moved to another exchange. Can't find a reason why a person would suddenly use it to power up, when he/she didn't in the past two years!

It forces action. The default could have been to keep it liquid and now they were forced to do something.
That could be the case but I doubt it. Looking at the value of Steem this morning, I do think that most did move it to Binance and are selling it! :(
Can only sell once :)
Hopefully it ends up in hands who want it at the time it makes the most impact to hold and utilise
