A simple observation

Accurate voting is not good for steemit as it incentivizes users to vote for popular content instead of the content they like.
This is the reason why you have a minority of thread worth tens of thousands and a majority worth under $1.

New users will expect to earn thousands per thread, because the home trend page is full of these but the reality is very different.

I don't have a solution for this but i strongly suggest the creator of this site consider this.

Another thing, that could discourage users from buying steem is the estimate dollar value always show less than they actually purchased. Someone will buy $100 worth, check his balance and see $70. You can bet he is not buying more.
