What I took from reading your post was that STEEM needs to implement a multi signature account for the purposes of a community bot. Ideally 2 of 3 signatures need for any power down, code changes etc. Any solely owned bot could be abused by the owner at a loss to the community.
That would be great. Not sure if we can expect it any time soon. One of my other commenters suggested a smart contract could do the trick so maybe a technical solution is not too far away. Until then this will have to do?
