Regularly commenting, in other words being dedicated to community building or as Seth Godin would say building your tribe, is the way to go.
Always has been on the Internet, always will be. Unless you are a guru with an already existing following (or mailer) it will continue to be the way forward.

Yes, guess you are right. Beside quality content it is very important to be "dedicated to community building or building your tribe".
And this will reward you in many dimensions: not just monetary ;)
It is, and it does. Check out @enazwahsdarb, if you don't already follow him, he's an awesome tribe builder.
You bet he's not just earning financially but his tribe would be a strong group at any related event.
