STEEM finally over 20 cents!

Isn't that a relief? You bet!

Seems like STEEM is holding over 2000 sats which does make me happy after seeing it holding low prices compared to some other projects that have pumped a lot more in the last 5-6 months.

Ofcourse, few projects have pumped more than 200-400% but it's worth noting that the STEEM/BTC pair has given 90% returns from it's absolute lows from October 2019.

But as always nobody knows how long this market will keep going up. But it would be great to see a few more moves upwards and seeing as BTC has pumped back over 10K it may just happen.

But for now i'm pleased to see this move up in price. However, it's also worth noting that we're also up in USD values from the lows of 2019 which is also great for a lot of people trading STEEM actively. I'm sure some of the low ranking witnesses will find this beneficial as well.

Wouldn't it be great if we could get back to some 50 cents and stay there for a while. Wishful thinking for now but hopefully we'll get there and beyond this year.

Are you trading STEEM?

Sort:

Don’t worry. Next Christmas season the price will drop back to .10 as everyone empties their wallets.

Those projects that pumped have so little liquidity so I wouldn't look at it the same way as STEEM. I'd love us to hit around $0.30 so we have a solid SBD peg, once that's in place I will start trading on the internal market more often looking for arbitrage opportunities

Yes! But STEEM doesn't have great liquidity unfortunately. Maybe when it pumps with 100+ BTC trading volume the liquidity is acceptable depending on who you ask but if you trade large position sizes on most days the books are super thin at best and sometimes the spread is also wide, forcing you to slowly build your position over a greater period of time. Even if you are trading a mere 10K-20K STEEM i've seen volumes as thin as 6-8btc/24 hrs making it hard to buy/sell at a very specific price. But all said and done it's still good for a multi-week swing trade if you sit and accumulate patiently, but not great for scalping unless it's pumping. I might be looking for some arbitrage opportunity just as you are down the road.

@firepower, I am really very happy that the price of Steem is moving upwards!

So happy for the good news!

I'm sure there will be a few more of these once we are in a long term bull run. :)

Hi. How are you?
I don't know about exchanges or how the price of steem will follow in the next few days. But, in your opinion, what would be the right time to sell steem?
Is it easy to get an account in Binance?

Hey!
Visit Binance.com to register a free a/c (use a VPN if you are a US citizen) to buy/sell STEEM with BTC. You can Trade STEEM with USDT on Huobi. A binance account is super easy to get. Without kyc you have 2 BTC daily withdrawal limit and 100 with kyc. So it should be sufficient for most people generally.

It's great the rise has been slow and steady. That's what we need to see going forward. and then user activity to match it.

If you compare steem against other cryptocurrencies, this is not such a good growth but at least Steam stops falling.
