Just an idea for a future Hardfork regarding the resurrection of old posts.

What if we could resurrect old posts to be monetized for a week more by just resteeming them?

What I mean by that is an idea I had regarding old but relevant posts that happen to be dead for months or even years.

My idea:

After a posts is "dead", someone who is not the original author decides to resteem it as it's subjects seems to still be relevant, launching the post in a new week of monetizing potential where new people can see it again and vote accordingly, with the payout coming a week after the resteem as if it was a brand new post.

Most of the income obviously goes to the original author, but the resteemer gets a share of the new cycle's income(about 1%, 5% or even 10%), but I still have no issue with being nothing at all, having 100% of the income going to the author and new curators(people who voted in a previous monetizing cycle would have no curation benefit if changing the vote).

A limit could be established to not start new cycles of monetization immediately after the previous one, establishing a minimal threshold of 1, 2 or even 4 weeks between last payout and new resteem to activate it.

I had this idea when I was seeing old posts from over a year ago with programming tutorials and other content that keeps it's relevance long after their payout.

But those are just ideas. Resteem it and comment below if you like them.

100% of author income from this post will be donated to Steem Proposal System.
