Ether has 16 seconds blocktime.
As far as I understand, a blockchain faster than 3 seconds is impossible due to physical limitations.
This means:
STEEM is the fastest blockchain, and could not be any faster
Why does upvoting a post takes 3 seconds?
Why 5 minutes break between 2 posts?
20 second lag between comments?
Masses are used to lightning fast activity on Instagram and Facebook.
Steemit in comparison is a snail.
Therefore Mass Adoption is Day Dreaming.
Ok Steem may be fast but Steemit as a Mass Social Media platform can never work with so much lag
