so this does negate your whole point of making the trending page relevant for new users??
Not really. The Trending page is an ass. It will be that whether I'm on it or not.
If a post I make pointing out that we need Communities over the Trending page ends up trending (and gets more eyeballs), then my work on this subject is done. I'll move on the myriad of other things I like to post about.
I have a solution to fix the trending page. If a post has more votes than it does views, it is not allowed on the trending page. Simple a trend is something people look at, view, not something that a bot votes on. Quadruple the power of the view verse the vote and trend votebot garbage goes away. Base the trending page on views, not votes.
