2 years on Steem going on 20
I got this message today on my last post and I kinda new it was around this time but it slipped my mind. So thanks @arcange and @steemitboard for the reminder.
Its hard to believe that it has already been 2 years spent here on the Steem blockchain blogging, communicating, learning and being part of the community.
365 days x2 is 730.
And even though I am not the most prolific blogger I would say that an average of 0.6 posts per day or roughly 18 posts per month is not a bad average. I am not active blogging daily like @exyle or @tarazkp but my 3500 comments do point to about 5 comments per day.
Now with curation and posting rewards (its hard to be exact due to the @ocdb support) I managed to earn a nice amount of SP which I estimate to be around 5k
And then I have another 15k in this account and a few others. This also puts me solidly in the top 1000 SP holders here on Steem.
I started out just blogging about random stuff and move mostly to crypto or investment related topics now. But I sense that times are changing. Steem might become more of a back end coin and tribes or communities or games will take over.
For myself I like the blogging and will probably keep it up but I have also diverged a bit into other tokens like palnet or steemleo.
Steem is diversifying and I like the way things are moving along and am trying to keep up with the developments. There are golden opportunities here and even if there were not.
I would just like to mention a few people that I follow but also interact with (and I hope maybe to see at the next Steemfest)
You guys have made this experience worth while and I feel grateful to have gotten to know you all one way or another.

Im not sure what being the top1000 SP holders on STEEM can really mean. Perhaps being top50 would be a big deal ....

Depends what the price gets to and what one is able to do with the stake. I would say that if the price was 20 dollars at some point and my vote was somewhere around 56 dollars at that point and I used it to invest 500+ dollars a day into people's business hopes and dreams, it would probably be a big deal for them.
At that price, my account now would be worth 1 million dollars and I could invest in them without diminishing what I hold. Having 350+ in front with more and 1000 behind and not too far away doing similar - it would be a monumentally big deal.

True. However I would rather expect price of STEEM to be constantly going down. I wish I would be wrong, however I don't have any reason to believe that price movement would ever change direction.

Price is currently not tied to anything other than speculation. At some point, that will stop and products and services will be needed as investment vehicles. Most other projects don't have anything near what Steem has now.

Yea, my portfolio is actually worth the same amount throughout the bear market since I kept adding in.
If it would go to the previous heights then my whole portfolio is starting to be life changing money (not in Switzerland but in most of the world)

yea, i bought in but used the ocdb service to grow the posts instead of straight away powering up.
And I am starting to get good returns slowly. If the value goes up it will start being a nice passive income stream

I love it here, but I've come to realize it's just too hot in the Summers for me to be here year round. I think I'll live here Fall and Spring and find other places for Summer and Winter. But life is very relaxed and pleasant here, and being near my family is what I needed at this juncture, for them and for me.

at least, I plan on getting nanobots that keep me alive and upvoting them with my steem to pay for the service
