Steemit still rising in Alexa Rank and across the web

I would say congratulations are in order as Steemit continues to grow not only in Alexa ranking but the web in general. The numbers keep coming in and agree that we are on a roll as you can see from the Alexa traffic Ranks. Slight dip in 2017 but overall climbing April, May, June showing continued and growing interest in Steemit. More over our Global Rank has skyrocketed! In the last three months alone Steemit has gone up by 8,659 positions which is certainly impressive. We’re now ranking 2,781 for the entire United States. 

Visitors tend to be from the USA more the most at 33.4% followed by the UK then Germany and South Korea. One thing I do notice is that overall bounce rate has increased, daily page view per visitor is shorter and daily time on the site has decreased. Not necessarily bad sign since that can be expected with explosive growth especially in the last few times. User retention is always a big thing and with a platform such as Steemit we can expect a large number of people who sign up are likely giving up after a short time. Most likely these people do not see that Steemit is a community, a long term thing you need to put time into to really get anything out of it not only through the people but financially as well. 

The news continues to be good since our percentage of visitors from search engines is up. 21% of visitors are now coming through search engine which is an increase of 83% percent in the last three months. An impressive gain showing the growing popularity of this crypto. Steemit naturally being the most searched word. We can see behind google many visitors are coming from youtube.com, facebook.com and reddit.com all major powerhouse sites. So clearly it seems like our user base is leveraging these social web sites well to educated more people about the Steem platform and word of mouth is spreading. 

About 202 site links exists to Steemit right now at least that Alexa can see. A number which I expect will grow considerably in the next few months.

Site load times still seem very slow which is a concern but I believe has been brought up before. Last part is interesting showing that education wise we have a huge mix of people from no college to those with college visiting us. If you check it’s not just Alexa which has good news.

Again for the last few months we’ve seen much higher interest especially going into June here. Google trends assigns interests with a high of 100 and low of 0. In the last few days we were trending at a 96 showing a high amount of interest in steemit.com. Searches for Steem crypto has also been trending higher. I think in general this falls in line with Alexa showing a growing amount of interest in searching for Steem via search engines. 

Similar web has some similar stats to Alexa but does show other interesting stuff. Including that a large amount of visitors are not just search engine, but again social networks, referrals from other popular sites or people just going direct to the site. Not only is the number of referrals growing but search engine traffic is 100% organic. That is all of the increased searching in google is due to word of mouth, growing popularity, etc. No paid advertising to make Steemit and Steem more well known. 

Finally semrush shows a huge number of backlines to us 7.9k to be exact. A backlink is a link someone posted pointing back to steemit.com. This is a good thing showing people are posting links, talking about and directing people to visit steemit. 

Overall very encouraging numbers showing an upward and forward movement. It’s beyond exciting because the bigger the user base the more growth which more success for everyone.  I feel it’s forward, upward and the sky is the limit. The growth of cryptocurrency, the steemit community and steem it in general is impossible to stop now. If you find this useful please upvote, follow and resteem. ^_^
