I guess that's the premise, correct? Power to the people, not the evil corps!
I discovered Steem and steemit through avc.com; so thanks Fred. Why does it matter? I'm thinking of writing an actual piece about how the concept of blockchain businesses changes the way we should think about corporates, economics of strategic behavior and competitive advantages. And I think Steem creates the easiest to comprehend case on top of which which I can put together a coherent analysis.
So look out for a more sophisticated analysis.
Isn't it also weird that I create an account - and immediately earn $6 (what my wallet's supposedly worth)? I know my Twitter account is worth a whole lot more to advertisers, but shit just got real when that value is immediately accessible - and by myself no less..,
